Product Description: The patented Dual-Position Seatpost lets you ride a true aero position on a standard road bike, without sacrificing your normal road position. Along with the Quick-Release Aerobars it provides the benefits of a triathlon or time trial bike without the additional bike or price tag. The key to riding powerfully and comfortably is proper saddle position and since you can switch between road and aero positions on-the-fly while riding, you can always choose the best riding position for every part of your ride.

Benefits:

• Transform your current bike - switch from road to aero position on the bike you already own
• Ride with ease - no more time and energy wasted switching from road bike to aero bike

Details:

• Linkage design lets you switch between road and aero positions seamlessly while riding
• Choose the best position for every single climb, flat, or descent
• Maintain proper leg extension in both road and aero positions
• Saddle moves forward 50mm, corresponding to approximately 4 degrees of effective seat tube angle change
• Aero road riding position optimized for proper handling on a road bike

Different bikes sometimes have different seatpost diameters. The ShockStop Seatpost is 27.2mm in diameter, so if your bike's seatpost is larger, you'll need a shim to adapt our seatpost to your bike's frame. Don't worry though, the shims are super-lightweight and essentially invisible once installed.

Not sure what size seatpost you have currently? There are a couple different ways to find out.

Most seatposts have the diameter printed somewhere near the bottom of the post. You'll need to remove the seatpost from the bike frame (mark your existing seatpost height with a bit of tape before you remove it so you can replace it easily), and look for a number like 27.2, 30.9, or 31.6 (etc.). That is the diameter of the post.
If you know the make, model, and year of your bike, you may be able to look up the seatpost diameter online. Feel free to shoot us an email at info@redshiftsports.com - we'll see if we can help out.
Ask your local bike shop - they'll be able to accurately measure your bike's seatpost.

Non-compatible posts: Unfortunately, if your bike's seatpost is smaller than 27.2mm (for example, the 25.4mm posts found on some recent model Cannondale Synapses) our seatpost is currently not compatible with your bike. Likewise, if you have a bike with an aero/oval/non-round seatpost, or if your bike has an integrated seatmast, the seatpost is also not compatible.

Currently, the Redshift Dual-Position Seatpost is only offered in one diameter (27.2mm). If your bike has a different seatpost diameter, check out the shim options below to find the right one for your bike. In addition to the standard black-anodized aluminum post, we also offer an aluminum version with red-anodized linkages.

Bought this post because of the AWFUL Chicago streets, and I am overjoyed at it's performance. I love that it is adjustable, feels extremely well-made, and enhances the look of my e-bike. Thank you for such a thoughtful product, my butt especially thanks you.

Money well spent!

This is a great addition to my gravel bike. It took a few adjustments to get the right elastomers but, it definitely smooths out the ride. Will be purchasing a set for my road bike.

This seat post is a game changer!! Absolutely love it on my gravel bike .gonna get one for my hard tail Mtb now

TD

Love the stem!! It really takes out all the worse bumps from your ride, and on rough trails really did offer a smooth comfortable ride.

Lawrence C

I hesitated buying this stem wondering would it work, was it a waste of money but I’ve had three off road rides with my new stem and I love it. I usually get pins and needles in my hands after riding for a while but that’s gone now. Added to the comfort is the improved handling on bumpy tracks and roads. I can ride a corrugated road now without feeling like I will get shaken off the bike. Very happy.

I love my Redshift post! I recently had a lumbar contusion and the post has smoothed and cushioned the roads and trails. I’m able to stay on the bike while healing.

Ian S

After much thought I bought a red shift suspension stem and initial thoughts are that it's good, think they will become standard across all my gravel bikes.

Stephen H

I just finished my first ride with the Resdhift Shockstop Suspension Stem and I noticed the difference immediately. Having ridden for many years with rigid front ends (I’m 64) I now wish I had discovered this earlier in my life. The chatter that it removes from my wrists, arms and shoulders is easily noticed. This experience has been so good that now I’m considering the seatpost Redshift offers as well. The interesting thing for me is that I’ve promoted and sold these products for years based upon input from others. I just didn’t think I needed one myself. Get yourself one! You’ll never go back.

Mark G

The shock absorber was easy to install and works as described cuts down on the impact. I recommend it if you're going to do gravel, writing and bumpy bumpy roads

Karlos R

Wow, once I got the fit dialed on this seat post I thoroughly understood why everyone was upgrading their set ups with these products. Riding a long distances is what I do for fun and for a living and this seatpost made all the difference in the world. Pay attention to the recommended Sag settings as its key to finding comfort and keeping a proper pedaling extension. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Liked so much, I bought a second

Amazing. Well designed/engineered. Wish I’d known when I was racing. Training for a first Sprint Triathlon. Have a 13+yr old Felt B14 TT bike but am doing most of my training on my two road bikes, one an older race bike kitted w fenders for training in Winter in the cold/soggy Pacific NW. I liked the first on my rain bike so much I bought a second for my fair-weather road bike. Allows me to train in. TT position for triathlons using the road bikes. Did Scratch/Dent for both so considerable savings.
